The 5 Best Places to Buy Xiaomi Products | Phones, Tablets & more

Xiaomi has been dominating the eastern market when it comes to cell phones, smart watches, smart TVs, and more. Their affordable prices make their products ideal for customers who are searching for a value-for-money solution.

If you are planning to move away from the more popular brands like Apple and Samsung and want to try something different, this guide is perfect for you.

Without further delay, I present to you the 5 most reliable stores where you can find any Xiaomi product.

The 5 best stores to buy Xiaomi products:

You might be wondering why the official Xiaomi website isn’t among them. Well, the reason is that it has higher prices than the other stores so I wouldn’t really recommend it. My personal favorite is Banggood as it has the lowest prices and the fastest shipping.

Amazon

Amazon is the first place people visit when they want to buy anything online and the Xiaomi products are no different. They have a wide variety of items to choose from, even though, they don’t have Mi Gaming laptops.

They offer free shipping for Amazon Prime members and on orders above $25 in the US (Based on the sellers).

They have one of the fastest international shipping networks. I think that their customer service is the one that stands out the most. I had an issue in the past with one of my orders and they resolved it very fast.

The big disadvantage of Amazon for me is that they don’t accept PayPal payments, so you can’t have that extra guarantee that PayPal offers.

Over the last 3 years, I had to occasionally ask for a refund on other e-commerce platforms, and PayPal was the one that gave me the solution the fastest.

However, they have their own A-Z Guarantee which protects you, and you can use it to request a refund or replacement. Also, their pricing is substantially higher than the other stores on this list, but overall, Amazon is a great solution you should seriously consider.

Pros

  • Worldwide shipping
  • Free Shipping for purchases of $25 and above for the US
  • A-Z Guarantee
  • Fast Shipping

Cons

  • Some sellers might be unreliable
  • Does not support PayPal
  • Higher pricing than other stores

Banggood

My personal favorite, as I mentioned above, is Banggood. Not only for Xiaomi products, but also for other Chinese brands like Realme, Oppo, and OnePlus. They have all the models and versions that you may want at the lowest price possible.

In addition, they have a coupon for almost all of them that can help you save an extra 10-20% on top of the already low price.

When it comes to shipping, it is international and sometimes free depending on the merchant you choose, or it might cost a very small amount, like $4.

If you are an EU citizen like me, they offer some shipping methods that can help you avoid paying extra customs.

These options are EU Priority Line and Priority Direct Mail. They have more than 20 secure payment options such as credit cards, PayPal, Boleto, and more.

The only negative issue I have encountered is that their product reviews are not very inclusive and therefore not that helpful. Aside from that, Banggood is an exceptional platform to buy any Xiaomi product.

Pros

  • Low to no shipping costs
  • Wide variety of devices
  • Supports many payment methods
  • Extremely low prices
  • Fast shipping

Cons

  • Some sellers might be unreliable
  • Most reviews are not very helpful

GearBest

I would say that this platform is very similar to Banggood in many ways. They are both extremely cheap and have a lot of Xiaomi products. Gearbest has generally fast shipping that costs about $5, depending on the service that you use.

Furthermore, some sellers tend to offer free shipping on specific items, so you can save some extra money if you buy from them.

As for their payment methods, it’s worth mentioning that they primarily use PayPal, but they support other options as well, such as credit cards and bank transfers.

The main disadvantage of Gearbest is its customer support. I highly advise you to use PayPal because you might need the extra protection and guarantee that it offers.

Let’s say that if something goes wrong with your order or your product arrives damaged, you will have a hell of a time returning it or getting a refund. They have improved over the years, but there is still a long way to go to get to the level of other companies.

Pros

  • Free shipping for some products
  • It supports different payment methods
  • A large variety of Xiaomi products
  • Very cheap prices

Cons

  • Poor customer service reputation

eBay

eBay is known to have very low prices and that’s the case for Xiaomi devices as well. They have a large collection with many of the products being on sale.

eBay offers you the ability to find a refurbished version of the item you want and if you are careful enough you can get one at a lower price that looks like new with only some minor scratches.

In every purchase you make, you get a money-back guarantee, so you can rest assured that you will get a refund if you are not happy with the item you ordered. However, keep in mind that return policies may vary based on the merchant.

They support all of the main payment methods, including PayPal, and some of them also have free shipping worldwide. Their drawback is that the shipping of some sellers who are not marked as “Top Rated” usually takes too long and their products are not of the highest quality.

I remember ordering once from a “less reliable” merchant, and the product arrived defective with a 3-week delay. So, choose top-rated sellers only and you’ll be just fine buying from eBay.

Pros

  • Buyer Protection with Money Back Guarantee
  • Extremely Cheap Products
  • Very wide variety
  • Multiple payment methods
  • Some merchants offer free shipping

Cons

  • Some sellers might be unreliable
  • Shipping and return policies are not standard and instead vary per merchant

AliExpress

AliExpress is one of the most reputable marketplaces in the world. You can find countless Xiaomi Products there and their prices are very cheap. They have lots of benefits to offer you. The main positive is their buyer protection program.

Similar to eBay and Amazon if you get a product and it’s not as described in the listing, you can get a full refund. That makes shopping on AliExpress very safe.

However, there are a few sellers on AliExpress over the years that have been selling counterfeit products only to get the customer’s money and disappear.

So, it’s important to buy from merchants with many positive reviews. When it comes to their shipping, there is indeed free shipping but it’s up to the sellers to offer it. Nevertheless, their shipping cost is quite low anyway.

Timewise, there are some reviews complaining about their products arriving late, although, every item I have ordered has arrived on time so I guess shipping times highly depend on the seller you choose.

Additionally, AliExpress has the most common payment methods such as credit cards and bank transfers, but not all sellers have the option to use PayPal, which is a big negative if you’re planning on shopping from a less reliable merchant.

This is the main reason I don’t use this website very often. Overall, AliExpress is a pretty decent place to find the Xiaomi product of your choice.

Pros

  • Very cheap prices
  • Some sellers offer free shipping
  • Buyer protection program
  • A large variety of products

Cons

  • Not all merchants support PayPal as a payment method
  • Some sellers offer fake products

Conclusion

To summarize, these were the top 5 places to get a Xiaomi product. I would highly recommend you to buy from Banggood since they offer constant sales. I have placed over 20 orders and all of them were extremely cheap and arrived on time without any damage.

There were other stores that I could include in the list as well but they didn’t make the cut as most of them didn’t have that great of a variety (most of them only had Xiaomi smartphones and smart watches) and others were quite overpriced.
